Equity-Centered Strategic Planning

Overview

Led an equity-centered 5-year strategic planning process for Promise Partnership Utah, a cradle-to-career collective impact partnership working to close racial and economic disparities in the greater Salt Lake region. The process integrated data, funding, strategies, and partnership priorities into a unified roadmap.

Approach

The strategic plan required facilitation across multiple organisational departments to ensure alignment in strategies, measurement, and evaluation. I worked as a strategic adviser to senior leadership and cross-sector partnerships, holding both technical rigour and relationships as priorities throughout the process.

Key activities included:

• Facilitating alignment sessions across organisational departments and external partners
• Integrating data strategy, funding priorities, and partnership goals into a cohesive plan
• Developing measurement frameworks centered on racial and economic disparities in education, health, and financial systems
• Building operational systems to ensure the longevity of strategies beyond the planning period
